The Lampo Folio is a collection of text-based scores from ten interdisciplinary artists who are all engaged on some level with sound and language. Each commissioned work is published in the form of instructions that can be used to enact a personal, possibly intimate performance at home. Taken together, these scores also suggest the prospect of repeatable, even synchronous performances by others. The Lampo Folio creates new stages within domestic spaces, and is a means for thinking about the social conditions of performance, particularly at a time when home life and shared experiences are under review. Contributors include Nikita Gale, Sarah Hennies, Bonnie Jones, Andrew Lampert, Jessie Marino, Nour Mobarak, Gala Porras-Kim, Elliot Reed, Sergei Tcherepnin and Jennifer Walshe. Andrew Fenchel is the founding director of Lampo, where he has programmed and produced hundreds of live performances, often in partnership with other cultural institutions, including the Chicago Architecture Biennial, Conversations at the Edge, the Graham Foundation, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Poetry Foundation, Rebuild Foundation and the Stony Island Arts Bank, the Renaissance Society, and the Smart Museum at the University of Chicago. In addition to his role with Lampo, he has served on numerous review panels and juries, locally, nationally, and internationally.

Andrew Lampert is an artist, archivist and writer. His eclectic and extensive body of films, videos, performances, and photographs have been exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, J. Paul Getty Museum, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Toronto Film Festival, and New York Film Festival, among other venues. Lampert previously served as Archivist and Curator of Collections at Anthology Film Archives. Recent projects include coediting the book TONY CONRAD: WRITINGS (2019, Primary Information), and co-writing the monthly column HARD TRUTHS for Art In America.

Lampo, established in 1997, supports artists working in new music, experimental sound and other interdisciplinary practices. The Chicago-based organization's core activity has been and remains its performance series. Rather than making programming decisions around tour schedules, Lampo invites selected artists to create and perform new work, and then the organization provides the space, resources and curatorial support to help them fulfill their vision. Lampo also organizes artist talks, lectures, screenings and workshops, and publishes written and recorded documents related to its series.
